Jackson redshirted his true freshman season at Iowa. In his redshirt freshman year, he started every regular-season game at left tackle and earned Big Ten All-Freshman honors, along with Freshman All-American recognition from the Football Writers Association of America. As a sophomore, he returned to the starting lineup and started the final 12 games of the season, finishing the year as a second-team All-Big Ten selection. Despite missing time during his redshirt junior season, Jackson continued to perform at a high level and was named third-team All-Big Ten. He capped his college career with an outstanding redshirt senior season, starting all eight games in Iowa’s 2020 campaign and earning first-team All-Big Ten honors. He also received second-team All-American recognition from the American Football Coaches Association.
